Malaysia aims to intensify conservation efforts for its endangered Malayan tiger population, estimated at fewer than 150. Efforts include increasing community rangers from 1,000 to 2,000, comprised of armed forces veterans, police, Orang Asli, and local community members, as announced by Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad. This expansion is part of the government's commitment to protect the species.
