Jamaica's Ministry of Agriculture invests $700m to aid farmers recovering from Hurricane Beryl.

Jamaica's Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Mining announced a $700 million investment to aid farmers recovering from Hurricane Beryl. The funds will be distributed through RADA, JAS, AIC, and Members of Parliament, with an initial allocation of $210 million for crop recovery. The hurricane led to a $4.73 billion loss for the agriculture sector, impacting 48,852 farmers and affecting 23,040 hectares of farmland.
