Greenland police arrested anti-whaling activist Paul Watson on an international warrant from Japan.
Greenland police arrested environmental activist and anti-whaling campaigner, Paul Watson, on an international warrant issued by Japan. Watson was arrested when his ship docked in Nuuk, Greenland's capital, and will appear before a district court with a request to detain him pending a decision on his possible extradition. Japan accuses Watson of endangering whalers' lives during operations in the Antarctic Ocean.
