North Charleston Police's Traffic Unit is investigating the incident at Rivers Ave & Fuller St. The driver stayed at the scene, no charges filed. The city has ranked 9th deadliest for pedestrians. Nationwide, pedestrian fatalities increased 75% from 2010-2022, most affected are older adults, disabled, people of color, and lower-income individuals.
