Police have launched a manhunt for escaped prisoner Gary Rootham, 42, who absconded from HMP Leyhill in South Gloucestershire. Rootham, who was serving sentences for driving, robbery, and burglary offenses, was last seen by prison staff on Friday at 4.50pm. Authorities have released an image of Rootham and urged the public not to approach him, but to call 999 if they see him. He has links to Reading and Cornwall.
