U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awards $41.9m in federal funding to Genesee & Saginaw Counties' Head Start and early childhood education programs in Michigan. Funding will support educational initiatives and provide health, nutrition, and social services for local children. This is in addition to over $31m secured by Congressman Dan Kildee for the same programs in August 2023.
