State Highway 1 north of Auckland at Brynderwyn Hills closed due to heavy rain causing slips. SH1 is fully closed and unsuitable for freight detours are in place for light vehicles via Nova Scotia Drive, Cove Road, Garbolino Road, and Kaiwaka-Mangawhai Road. Heavy vehicles should use SH12/14. The road closure is due to a "significant slip" and reopening time is uncertain.
