Nigeria's government and labor unions have reached an agreement on a new minimum wage, ending months of disagreement over employee welfare. The country's federal government and organized labor have agreed to increase the national minimum wage to 70,000 naira ($43) a month, more than doubling the previous minimum wage of 30,000 naira set in 2019. The new wage will be submitted to the National Assembly for ratification.
