Maharashtra Excise Minister urges Maratha quota activist to end hunger strike for Maratha quota issue.

Maharashtra Excise Minister Shambhuraj Desai appeals to Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange-Patil to adopt a conciliatory approach on the Maratha quota issue, rather than continuing his hunger strike. Jarange-Patil has been demanding implementation of the draft 'sage-soyare' notification, recognising Kunbis as blood relatives of the Maratha community. His latest hunger strike began on July 20th in Jalna, Maharashtra.
