Lightning strikes during a heat wave in northern Greece killed cattle and caused fires, authorities reported. Fires were reported near Kozani city, while nine cows died and several were injured at a farm in Florina due to lightning strikes. Temperatures eased slightly, but the risk of wildfires remained high in southern Greece.
