The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC), spanning 1,506 km, is on track to be fully operational by December 2025, with 96.4% of the Eastern and Western DFCs already complete. This marks the completion of two DFCs in India for faster and seamless cargo transportation. The completion of DFCs will significantly reduce logistics costs and help railways achieve a 45% modal share of cargo transported across the country.
