Islington Council has approved plans by Delancey for a new development at 176-178 York Way, transforming the former low-rise industrial area into laboratory and office space for life sciences and technology jobs. The eight-storey building is expected to bring 1,000 new jobs and contribute £68m to the local economy. New green spaces, street lighting, and pedestrian and cyclist routes will be created, with £150,000 from a project fund allocated for local initiatives.
