Indonesian women, like Rani Miranti, are learning martial arts to combat gender-based violence in the country, where the National Commission on Violence Against Women recorded 289,111 cases last year. This comes as a decrease from 339,782 cases in 2022, following the enactment of a law on sexual violence.
