Himachal Pradesh CM, Sukhvinder Sukhu, requested distinct norms for hilly states like Himachal under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme, stating population-based criteria were unsuitable. He also urged the Central government to review the 15th Finance Commission recommendations and amend the tender policy system to accelerate development works.
