The Cleveland Guardians have agreed to a contract with top pick Travis Bazzana, the first Australian to be chosen No. 1 overall in the MLB Draft. Bazzana, a second baseman, will receive $8.95 million, below the slot value of $10.57 million for the No. 1 overall pick. The Guardians believe Bazzana can potentially be a top- or middle-of-the-order hitter, providing additional depth to their roster.
