China's electricity consumption increased by 5.8% year-on-year in June, reaching 820.5 billion kWh, according to official data released on Friday. Power use in primary and secondary industries rose by 5.4% and 5.5% respectively, while the tertiary sector experienced a 7.6% increase. In the first half of the year, China's power consumption grew by 8.1% to nearly 4.66 trillion kWh, with GDP growth at 5% to around 61.68 trillion yuan.
