VA Secretary Denis McDonough appoints Meg Kabat as VA chief of staff, succeeding Kimberly Jackson.

Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Denis McDonough has appointed Margaret "Meg" Kabat as the new VA chief of staff. Kabat, who has served as the principal senior adviser at the Department of Veterans Affairs, will succeed Kimberly Jackson in the role and support the department's secretary and deputy secretary on policies and strategies for delivering care and benefits to veterans. Kabat brings over two decades of experience supporting veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors to her new position.
