Porirua Railway Station in New Zealand launches a new safety initiative from 22nd July. Funded by the Ministry of Social Development, three Mau Te Rongo Navigators provide a visible presence from 7am to 9am and 3.30pm to 5.30pm for six months. Collaborating with community police patrols, they'll engage with public transport users and support agencies, addressing safety concerns at transport hubs in Porirua.
