Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov ratified an agreement with China to open a new border checkpoint, Bedel, at the Kyrgyz-Chinese border. The checkpoint, expected to enhance Kyrgyzstan's export potential, increase trade turnover, and strengthen trade relations with China, is part of its participation in the One Belt, One Road initiative. Approximately $896,464 from the Kyrgyzstan budget will be allocated for its creation, with a planned opening in September 2024.
