Germany plans to halve its military aid for Ukraine in 2025, reducing funding from around €8bn ($8.6bn) in 2024 to €4bn ($4.35bn). The reduction is partly due to Germany's hope that Ukraine can meet much of its military needs through the $50bn in loans obtained from the proceeds of frozen Russian assets, agreed upon by the G7 group.
