Electra.aero successfully completes off-runway test flights of its hybrid-electric EL-2 Goldfinch eSTOL aircraft from a grass field near its Manassas, VA facility. The aircraft, which charges batteries in-flight, demonstrates effectiveness for operating from austere, minimally prepared fields under 300 ft. Electra aims for FAA Part 23 certification and commercial service in 2028, targeting both military and Agile Combat Employment missions.
