Cork University Hospital apologized to a man who settled his legal action for €2.1m after suffering a brain injury due to shortcomings in his care during a CT scan. The man, with Parkinson's disease, sued the Health Service Executive (HSE), admitting liability but leaving causation an issue. The hospital CEO apologized to the man and his family for the shortcomings in care that occurred during the procedure.
