Canary Wharf Group plans a £400m mixed-use redevelopment of HSBC tower at 8 Canada Square, designed by KPF, upon HSBC's 2027 departure.
Canary Wharf Group plans a £400m makeover for the HSBC tower at 8 Canada Square, making it a mixed-use building with offices, residential spaces, and commercial establishments once HSBC vacates the premises in 2027. The 1.1 million sq ft building, originally designed by Foster + Partners, will be redesigned by Kohn Pedersen Fox to include multiple open terraces, improved energy efficiency, and better environmental impact. The project aims to revitalize the area, attract businesses, and offer a modern, sustainable workspace for HSBC's employees.
