Beijing plans to create an international pharmaceutical innovation park in its southern suburbs at the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (E-Town). The 5.8 square kilometer park aims to draw global scientists in medicine and health, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as quantitative synthetic biology, high-throughput sequencing technology, and therapeutic gene editing. E-Town also seeks to integrate biotechnology and information technology to advance new medicine R&D through AI computing power.
