2018 assault: Jerome Boateng, former German footballer, receives suspended fine & warning for intentional bodily harm against ex-girlfriend, found guilty in Munich retrial.

Jerome Boateng, former German footballer, has been given a suspended fine of €200,000 ($227,000) and a warning for intentional bodily harm against his ex-girlfriend. The regional court in Munich found the World Cup winner guilty in a retrial of an alleged assault in 2018. Boateng would only have to pay the fine if he commits another offense. The presiding judge stated there was not enough evidence to support the accusation of Boateng being a "notorious woman beater."
