55-year-old hiker George Bladon fell 10ft, fractured leg, foot reattached, spent over a year relearning to walk, urges caution.

55-year-old hiker George Bladon, from Bristol, had a bone protrude from his leg after falling 10ft while trying to get a better view of Dartmoor. Bladon's foot had to be reattached after the accident, and he spent over a year relearning to walk. He now urges fellow hikers to "be careful at all times." The incident occurred in April 2023 when Bladon was hiking in Devon with two friends and his cousin, who called emergency services for help.
