3 suspected Hmar militants killed in encounter with Assam police near Assam-Mizoram border.
Assam Rifles Director General Lt. Gen. Pradeep Chandran Nair briefed Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey about the prevailing security situation in the state and the preparedness of the force. Meanwhile, three suspected Hmar militants were killed in an encounter with the Assam police in the Bhuban Hills of Cachar district near the Assam-Mizoram border. Three policemen were also injured during the gunfight.
