Chef Andy Sheridan and business partner Sam Morgan, who own a chain of 7 restaurants in the UK, were threatened with fake one-star reviews on Google and TripAdvisor unless they paid £2,000 to £2,500 to the blackmailers. The restaurateurs received a message through their WhatsApp booking service demanding payment, and after initially ignoring the threats, a one-star review was posted online before being removed as proof.
