North Carolina Senate leader Phil Berger appoints Kolt Ulm, current deputy chief of staff, as his new chief of staff. Ulm replaces Brian Fork, who leaves for the Carolina Hurricanes organization. Since joining Berger's staff in 2013, Ulm has held various positions and has extensive knowledge of the General Assembly, Senate, and strong relationships with staff, agencies, and legislators.
