Two new wildfires north of Wickiup Reservoir, at Round Mountain, have burned 70 acres and prompted Level 3, Level 2, and Level 1 evacuations in the area. The fires started due to lightning activity and hot, dry weather in Central Oregon. Firefighters have responded to over 15 fires in the last 24 hours, with most controlled or contained. The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office is assisting with evacuations near Wickiup Reservoir.
