2nd Sydney farm affected by bird flu; emergency zones established in Hawkesbury region.

Avian influenza, known as bird flu, has spread to a second farm in Sydney's northwest, prompting the establishment of emergency control zones to curb transmission. Bird flu is primarily spread through the movement of infected domestic and wild birds. Two emergency zones have been set up in the Hawkesbury region: a Restricted Emergency Zone (REZ) within a two-kilometer radius of affected properties, and a Control Emergency Zone (CEZ) surrounding the REZ.
