Malaysia to decide on high-speed rail link to Singapore by Q4, potentially reducing travel time to 90 mins.

Malaysia to decide on high-speed rail link to Singapore this year, as PM Anwar Ibrahim's government assesses proposals from a shortlist of private consortiums. Minister Anthony Loke hopes Malaysia's Cabinet will decide on the viability of the project by the end of Q4. If approved, the high-speed rail will cut travel time between KL & Singapore to 90 mins, down from 4 hours by road. The project was previously cancelled over cost concerns.
