4.15kg of methamphetamine worth S$500,000 seized, hidden in lion figurines; foreign national arrested.
4.15kg of "Ice" (methamphetamine) with an estimated street value of S$500,000 was seized by Singapore's Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) on July 16. The drugs were found hidden in the base structures of two ornamental lion figurines. A 25-year-old foreign national suspected of drug trafficking was arrested on the same day following an intelligence exchange with the Hong Kong Police Force.
