Former NBA player Jontay Porter, banned for life due to a betting scandal, sought permission from a federal court to resume his basketball career in Greece while awaiting sentencing. Porter's attorney asked the court to modify his bond conditions, allowing him to get his U.S. passport back, travel in Europe, and reside in Patras, Greece. Porter planned to play for the Greek club, Promitheas BC. However, the federal judge denied his request.
