Air India introduces voluntary retirement scheme for non-flying staff before merging with Vistara.

Air India has introduced voluntary retirement and separation schemes for its non-flying permanent staff ahead of its merger with Vistara, aiming to reduce staff count. This is the third VRS exercise since privatisation and applies to employees with at least five years of continuous service. The merged Air India and Vistara are targeting a single full-service carrier and plan to complete the process by year-end.
