The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) detained a 50-year-old Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a Malaysian highway concessionaire for allegedly accepting over RM300,000 in bribes. The suspect was apprehended at MACC headquarters in Putrajaya and is being investigated under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009. He is believed to have received bribes for a RM6bn Klang Valley highway project.
