WalletHub released a ranking of states with the most people in financial distress, based on average credit score, change in bankruptcy filings, and share of people with distressed accounts. Michigan, Texas, and Nevada were identified as the states with the most people in financial distress, while Connecticut, Iowa, and New Hampshire had the least. Oregon was ranked as the 9th least financially distressed state.
