Police are investigating a suspected arson in Whitianga, where three vehicles were destroyed in an early morning explosion. Residents reported hearing two explosions at around 3am, and attending fire crews discovered the vehicles on fire at the Ferry Landing on Panorama Avenue. No injuries have been reported, and the road was closed while emergency services responded to the incident.
