UK tourists visiting Ibiza, Majorca, and Menorca are being intercepted by Border Force and warned about the dangers of modern slavery, criminality, and illegal working. Operation Karetu, a month-long exercise, has engaged over 1,000 young Britons traveling from 22 UK airports, providing them with leaflets and guidance on how to avoid exploitation and the pitfalls of temporary jobs, such as working as unofficial PR reps or touting for people to go to clubs and bars.
