Stockholm tests electric 'flying' ferry: A fully electric ferry is speeding across Stockholm's waters, equipped with three vertical wings (hydrofoils) that allow it to levitate one metre above the surface. The Candela P-12 ferry consumes up to 80% less energy than regular boats and reaches a top speed of 55 km/h, minimising friction. The company plans to begin taking regular passengers soon.
