South Korea's military has warned that North Korean landmines could be swept into South Korean territory by flooding due to summer rainfall, following recent reports of North Korea placing tens of thousands of mines along the heavily fortified border. This construction has also included the addition of anti-tank barriers and reinforced roads. South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff announced they are strengthening their readiness to repel any potential aggression from North Korea.
