Soros' Open Society Foundations complete restructuring, pledge $400M for green jobs in Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, Senegal, Malaysia, and Indonesia over eight years. The investment aims to produce sustainable jobs and a shift towards clean energy, away from carbon-intensive industries. OSF's president, Binaifer Nowrojee, states that the idea of free markets cannot solve everything, especially the climate crisis.
