Reservoir Police officer, Rodney Jernigan, has been arrested and charged with statutory rape in Smith County, following a complaint from a concerned parent regarding their teenager's inappropriate relationship with an adult male. Jernigan is currently being held in Smith County Jail, awaiting his initial court appearance. Reservoir Police Chief Carlos DiPuma confirmed Jernigan's arrest and removal from the department.
