The project, with an estimated cost of Rs 9,000 crore, aims to construct a balancing reservoir in Karnataka's Ramanagara district. As Karnataka experiences good rainfall, it is currently releasing 1.5 tmcft of Cauvery river water daily to Biligundlu, Tamil Nadu.
