Google discontinues "Notes" experiment for Search, ending July; users can download notes until August.
Google is ending its "Notes" experiment for Search, introduced in November, which allowed users to attach public or private notes to search results. The feature will be available until end of July, and users can download their notes until end of August through Google Takeout. The company plans to continue testing new ways to connect people with authentic, relatable voices, incorporating some learnings from "Notes" into future product experiences.
