The Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati begins a $209M expansion and renovation, the first in nearly 20 years. Funded by a raised hotel tax, Hamilton County ($15M), and the city of Cincinnati ($30M), the project updates the exterior and adds new technology and space. The expansion is part of a county-city-3CDC effort to establish a convention district downtown, expected to benefit the state and make the region more competitive in attracting major conventions and gatherings.
