Chinese EV maker GAC Aion opens first factory in Thailand, expanding EV production.
Chinese EV maker GAC Aion, a subsidiary of GAC Group, has opened its first factory in Thailand, located at Amata City Rayong Industrial Estate in Rayong province. The facility will be able to produce 50,000 vehicles each year, supporting Thailand's EV production and promoting the country as an EV industry center in Southeast Asia. GAC Group Chairman Zeng Qinghong made the announcement during the factory's inauguration.
