ANZ Bank reduced its one-year special home loan rate by 29 basis points to 6.85% following the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's decision to keep the Official Cash Rate (OCR) on hold for the eighth consecutive time. This move came as inflation was 3.3% in the year to June 30, lower than the RBNZ's expectations of 3.6%. ANZ also lowered a range of its term deposit and PIE fund rates.
