26-year-old Adel Kerai, an Algerian man who recently arrived in Ireland, was jailed for two years and three months for sexually assaulting a young woman in Dublin city centre. The woman was on the phone with her boyfriend when Kerai approached her on O'Connell Street, followed her for 30 minutes, and sexually assaulted her on Henry Street. Kerai had no fixed abode in Dublin 1 and is seeking asylum in Ireland.
