UK grocery price inflation dropped to 1.6% in the four weeks to July 7, its lowest since September 2021. This coincides with a rise in the number of monthly supermarket shoppers, a 2.2% increase in sales, and an uptick in beer, crisps, and snacks sales during England's Euro 2024 matches. Online supermarket Ocado maintained its fastest growth rate, with sales up 10.7% year-on-year. Tesco's market share increased by 27.7%, its highest since November 2021.
